Reading restrictions
Your reading restrictions section is your forum security. This is where you determine who will have access to a forum.
You could consider it the front door to your forum. Users will need to get in the front door first before they can post.
Public forum
This is your most public setting. Everyone can access the forum.
The forum is fully visible on your main page.
Invisible forum
Without exceptions set, the forum is invisible to all except board owner and admins.
Exceptions: edit exceptions to make the forum cisible to certain members of your domain.
Post count:
Enter a post count. All members of your domain who reach the amount of posts you have set will be able to see the forum and enter it.
Membership:
Users who have been a member of your domain for the amount of months you specify will be able to see the forum and enter it.
Kudos
Users who have the amount of kudos you specify will be able to see the forum and enter it.
Invisible / approved only
Users who meet the exceptions will see the forum. Topic listing remains invisible.
Users who see the forum after meeting the exceptions need to apply before they can enter.

The forum is visible on the main page of your domain.
Users must meet the exceptions in order to read the topic listings.
When the exceptions are not met, users must apply for membership.
When no exceptions are set, all users must apply for membership in order to read the topic listings.

For example, when you choose invisible as your forum security, you can allow members with a certain post count, membership duration or kudos count to see and access the forum.
As soon as a member meets the exceptions, the forum will become visible.
